Byddi di’n parhau i ddatblygu sgiliau hanesyddol o ddadansoddi a gwerthuso dibynadwyedd ffynonellau ac yn ystyried achosion a chanlyniadau digwyddiadau hanesyddol. Byddi di’n dysgu am wahanol gyfnodau hanesyddol, yn enwedig y Canol Oesoedd, Cyfnod Modern Cynnar a’r cyfnod Modern. Fe fyddi di’n derbyn y cyfle i ganolbwyntio ar hanes Cymru, Ewrop a’r byd.
Sut fydda i’n dysgu?
Byddi di’n dysgu un uned ar y tro ac yn gwneud gwaith pâr a grŵp er mwyn trafod syniadau a pharhau i ddatblygu dy sgiliau hanes. Fe fydd dy waith yn cael ei osod ar Google Classroom lle bydd geirfa, cwestiynau arholiad a phecynnau gwaith yn cael eu rhoi. Fe fyddi di’n derbyn cyfleoedd i ddysgu hefyd tu allan i’r dosbarth pan fydd cyfleoedd yn codi.
Oes angen offer arnaf fi?
Ni fydd angen offer arbennig, heblaw dy unedau, dy lyfrau a dy Chromebook.

Unrhyw swydd sy’n gofyn am sgiliau ymchwilio, megis byd busnes, cyfryngau, addysg, meddygaeth (gallu i wneud penderfyniadau doeth yn seiliedig ar dystiolaeth feddygol), peirianneg a nifer fawr o swyddi eraill. Mae cyflogwyr a phrifysgolion yn hoff o weld TGAU Hanes ar CV gan ei fod yn bwnc traddodiadol sy’n dangos nifer o sgiliau sy’n gweddu i’r byd gwaith. What will I learn?
You will continue to develop historical skills such as how to analyse historical sources, assess the reliability of sources and consider the effect and causes of historical events. You will be learning about different historical periods, especially the Medieval Period, the Early Modern period and Modern History. You will have the opportunity to focus on Welsh, British, European and World History.
How will I learn?
You will learn one unit at a time and you will be taking part in group and paired activities in order to discuss different ideas and to develop your historical skills. Your work will be set on Google Classroom, where you will be given key words, examination practice, and work booklets. You will also learn outside the classroom, when opportunities arise.
Do I need any equipment?
You will not need any specific equipment, just your units of work, exercise book and your Chromebook.
How will I be assessed?
Unit 1: In-depth study: Wales and The early Tudors 1485- 1547
Written examination: 1 hour
30% of qualification
Unit 2: In-depth study on The Black Death c.1330–1360
Controlled Assessment : 3 hours
20% of qualification
Unit 3: The changes in U.S Society 1880–1980
Written examination: 1 hour

Unit 4: Controlled assessment 20%
Learners will undertake a study of themed events within a continuous period of c.75–c.100 years of history. The events studied must be from the islands of Great Britain and / or Ireland.
What is the next step after this course?
You can go on to study AS Level and A Level History.
Ideas for jobs ...
Any job that requires research skills, such as the business world, media, education, medicine (the ability to make confident decisions based on medical evidence), engineering and many other jobs. Employers and universities appreciate GCSE History on a CV as it is a traditional subject that demonstrates many skills that are useful in the world of work. It shows that you are an individual who understands the world around you, that you can process information, question ideas and draw conclusions independently.
