Beth fydda i’n ei ddysgu?

Byddi di’n dysgu am fusnes ac amgylchedd busnes. Byddi di’n astudio materion sy’n wynebu busnesau a'r math o benderfyniadau pwysig sydd angen gwneud o fewn busnes. Bydd hefyd cyfle i archwilio tueddiadau mewn marchnadoedd gan gynnwys y farchnad swyddi. Mae cyfle hefyd i astudio effaith yr amgylchedd a chynaliadwyedd ar fusnesau. Bydd cyfle i ti hefyd greu syniadau ar gyfer busnesau e.e. marchnata a hybysebu. 

Sut fydda i’n dysgu?

Bydd yr adnoddau ar gyfer y cwrs TGAU Busnes i gyd ar dy Google Classroom. Byddi di hefyd yn defnyddio dy Chromebook er mwyn dysgu geirfa a thermau busnes, creu ymgyrchoedd marchnata, ymchwilio i’r economi leol a chenedlaethol a chreu adnoddau ymchwil megis holiaduron. Bydd gwaith cartref cyson er mwyn gwella a datblygu dy ddealltwriaeth o’r pwnc cyffrous hwn. 

Oes angen offer arnaf fi?

Ni fydd angen offer arbennig, heblaw am dy unedau, dy lyfrau ysgrifennu Busnes, a dy Chromebook.     

Sut fydda i’n cael fy asesu?

Byddi di’n astudio 4 uned;

Uned 1:  Cyflwyniad i’r Byd Busnes (Arholiad 1 awr 15 munud) [30% o’r cymhwyster]
Uned 2:  Ystyriaethau Allweddol Busnes - Asesiad Gwaith cwrs [15% o’r cymhwyster]

Uned 3: Strategaethau Busnes ar gyfer Llwyddo  (Arholiad 1 awr 15 munud) [30% o’r cymhwyster] 

Uned 4: Creu Busnes  - Asesiad Gwaith Cwrs (1 awr 30 munud) [25% o’r cymhwyster]  

Mae Unedau 1 a 3 yn cael eu hasesu drwy arholiadau ysgrifenedig sy’n cynnwys atebion byr ac estynedig gyda rhai yn seiliedig ar sefyllfaeodd busnes.

Mae Uned 2 a 4 yn asesiadau di-arholiad - byddi di’n derbyn briff aseiniad ac amser pendol i’w gwblhau yn y gwersi.

Beth yw’r cam nesaf ar ôl y cwrs hwn?

Mae mwyafrif y disgyblion yn parhau i astudio Safon Uwch mewn Busnes neu bynciau eraill.

Byddi di wedi datblygu sgiliau sy’n dy alluogi i wneud penderfyniadau busnes, sydd felly’n dy baratoi ar gyfer gwaith rheoli o fewn busnesau a chwmnioedd. Byddi di hefyd yn gallu ystyried gyrfa mewn cyfrifeg; hysbysebu, marchnata ac adnoddau dynol.

What will I learn?

You will learn about business and the business environment. You will study issues facing businesses and the type of important decisions that need to be made within a business. There will also be an opportunity to examine trends in markets including the job market. There is also an opportunity to study the impact of the environment and sustainability on businesses. You will also have the opportunity to create ideas for businesses e.g. marketing and advertising.

How will I learn?

The resources for the GCSE Business course will all be in your Google Classroom. You will also use your Chromebook to learn vocabulary and business terms, create marketing campaigns, research the local and national economy and create research resources such as questionnaires. There will be regular homework in order to improve the development and your understanding of this exciting subject.

Do I need any equipment? 

You will not need special equipment, except for your units, your Business notebooks, and your Chromebook.

How will I be assessed?

Unit 1 Introduction to the Business World - Written Examination 1 hour 15  minutes [30% of the qualification]

Unit 2 Key Business Considerations - Assessed Coursework [15% of the qualification]

Unit 3 Business Strategies for Success - Written Examination 1 hour 15  minutes [30% of the qualification]

Unit 4 Business Creation -  Assessed Coursework  [25% of the qualification]

Units 1 and 3 are assessed through written exams which include short and extended answers with some based on business situations.

Unit 2 and 4 are non-exam assessments - you would receive an assignment brief and fixed time to complete it in the lessons.

What is the next step after this course?

The majority of pupils continue to the Sixth form to study A Level  Business or other subjects.

Ideas for jobs ... 

You will have developed skills that enable you to make business decisions, which therefore prepares you for management work within businesses and companies. You should also consider a career in accountancy; advertising, marketing and human resources.
