Byddi di’n parhau i ddatblygu dy wybodaeth a dealltwriaeth o gredoau, gwerthoedd, dysgeidiaethau, arferion ac argyhoeddiadau athronyddol, crefyddol ac anghrefyddol. Byddi di’n ymgysylltu â chwestiynau mewn perthynas a chred, gwerth, ystyr, pwrpas, gwirionedd, a’u dylanwad ar fywyd dynol ac yn llunio dadleuon cytbwys a strwythuredig gan ddangos dealltwiaeth fanwl ac eang o bynciau. Bydd cyfle hefyd i ti ddefnyddio dulliau perthnasol sy’n seiliedig ar faterion nodedig o astudio astudiaethau crefyddol, athronyddol a moesegol yn y byd modern.
Mae’r cwrs Astudiaethau Crefyddol yn dy annog i werthfawrogi natur gymhleth, amlblwyfol ac amryliw cymdeithas drwy ddeall yr angen am oddefgarwch, gwydnwch ac empathi. Bydd hyn yn dy ysbrydoli, dy gyffroi a’th herio wrth dy gymhwyso i fyw bywyd adeiladol yn y byd cyfoes.
Sut fydda i’n dysgu?
Byddi di’n astudio pedair uned o waith - ‘Credoau, dysgeidiaethau ac arferion crefyddol ac anghrefyddol’, ‘Crefydd a pherthnasoedd’, ‘Rolau, hawliau a chyfrifoldebau’ a ‘Chrefydd a hawliau dynol’. Bydd cyfle i ti wneud gwaith pâr, grŵp ac unigol. Byddi di hefyd yn cyflawni gwaith ymchwil annibynnol er mwyn datblygu dy ddiddordeb ymhellach.
Bydd yr adnoddau ar gyfer y cwrs TGAU Astudiaethau Crefyddol i gyd ar dy Google Classroom. Bydd gwaith cartref cyson er mwyn gwella a chadarnhau dy ddealltwriaeth.

What will I learn?
You will continue to develop your knowledge and understanding of religious and non-religious beliefs, values, teachings, practices and philosophical convictions. Opportunities will be provided for you to engage with questions of belief, value, meaning, purpose, truth and their influence on human life. You will develop your ability to construct well-argued, well-informed, balanced and structured written arguments, demonstrating your depth and breadth of understanding of the various subjects. There will also be an opportunity for you to use a distinctive issues based approach to the study of religious, philosophical and ethical studies in the modern world.
The Religious Studies course will encourage you to appreciate the complex, pluralistic and diverse nature of society by understanding the need for tolerance, resilience and empathy. It will inspire, excite and challenge you whilst equipping you to lead a constructive life in the modern world.
How will I learn?
You will study four units, ‘Religious and non-religious beliefs, teachings and practices’, ‘Religion and Relationships’, ‘Roles, rights and responsibilities’ and ‘Religion and human rights’.You will have many opportunities to work as a pair, in a group and individually. You will also complete independent research in order to develop your interest within the subject.
The resources for the GCSE Religious Studies course will be in your Google Classroom. There will be homework to improve and deepen your knowledge.
Do I need any equipment?
You will not need any specific equipment, apart from your book and your Chromebook.
How will I be assessed?
Unit 1: Written examination: Religious and non-religious beliefs, teachings and practices (1 hour 15 minutes) 30%
Unit 2: Non-examination assessment: Religion and relationships (6 hours) 20%
Unit 3: Written examination: Roles, rights and responsibilities (1 hour 15 minutes)
Unit 4: Non-examination assessment: Religion and human rights (6 hours) 20%
What is the next step after this course?
You will be able to continue to study A Level Religious Studies (AS and then A2) if you wish.
