Children to organise themselves in height order. Measure their height.
Everyone to find a stick and position their stick in the correct place to ensure the whole group have placed their sticks from the shortest to the longest.
Create the scene of the story in the outdoor area - Little Red Riding Hood’s house, the forest, Grandma’s house. Estimate and calculate the distance between both houses. Count how many steps/how many meters? Which is the quickest route? Create your own map.
Look at the trees in the outdoor area - which is the oldest? Work out the age by measuring the stump.
Listen to the story ‘The Little Red Riding Hood’, in the forest/outdoor area.
Create a story map and begin to retell the story with movements. Create a video recording to continue to practise at home.
Chalk the story map on the yard/use loose parts or large paper indoors to retell the story.
Use adjectives to describe the characters. Use loose parts, craft, dough, clay to create a character's face. Use Chatterpix to describe the character.

Stick Hunt - Look for 5 different sticks, order them from the shortest to the longest. Measure each stick using non-standard/standard measures.
Stick Scavenger Hunt - Look for a stick/twig the same length as your hand, the same length as your little finger, longer than your foot etc.

Can you add some sounds/music to a scene of the Little Red Riding Hood story?
Create natural paint brushes - what’s the length of your brush? The group to order their paint brushes from the longest to the shortest.
