Beth fydda i’n ei ddysgu?

Mae cymwysterau Gwyddor Bwyd a Maeth Lefel 3 yn dy alluogi i ennill cyfoeth o wybodaeth am y diwydiant bwyd a maeth. Byddi di’n cael y cyfle i ddysgu am y berthynas rhwng y corff dynol a bwyd yn ogystal â sgiliau ymarferol er mwyn coginio a pharatoi bwyd.

Sut fydda i’n dysgu?

Dyluniwyd cymwysterau Gwyddor Bwyd a Maeth Lefel 3 o amgylch y cysyniad ‘cynllunio, gwneud, adolygu’. Mae pwyslais cryf ar waith ymarferol, gan wneud y cymhwyster hwn yn ddewis delfrydol i fyfyrwyr y mae’n well ganddynt ddysgu drwy wneud. Mae’r cymwysterau’n adlewyrchu nifer o weithgareddau gweithio yn y diwydiant bwyd a maeth ac yn hwyluso dysgu mewn cyd-destunau amrywiol. Gelli di gymhwyso ac ehangu dy ddysgu y tu allan i gyfyngiadau’r ystafell ddosbarth hefyd.

Bydd angen i ti ddod â dy gynhwysion dy hun bob wythnos er mwyn gallu coginio.

Beth yw’r cam nesaf ar ôl y cwrs hwn?

Bydd modd i ti barhau i astudio BSc Gwyddor Bwyd a Maeth yn y brifysgol. Bydd hyn yn rhoi’r cyfle i ti weithio mewn swydd gyda thâl am flwyddyn fel rhan o’r cwrs.

What will I learn?

Level 3 Food Science and Nutrition qualifications allow you to gain a wealth of knowledge about the food and nutrition industry. You will have the opportunity to learn about the relationship between the human body and food as well as practical skills for cooking and preparing food.

How will I learn?

Level 3 Food Science and Nutrition qualifications have been designed around the concept of a ‘plan, do, review’ approach to learning. There is a strong emphasis on practical work, making this an ideal choice for students who prefer to learn by doing. The qualifications mirror many work activities in the food and nutrition industry and they facilitate learning in a range of contexts. You are also able to apply and extend your learning outside the confines of the classroom.

Do I need any equipment?

You will need to bring your ingredients on a weekly basis in order for you to be able to cook.

How will I be assessed?

Certificate: Unit 1 Meeting Nutritional Needs of Specific Groups Internal Assessment and External Exam

Diploma: Unit 2 Ensuring Food is Safe to Eat External Assessment

Diploma: Unit 3 Current Issues in Food Science and Nutrition Internal Assessment

What is the next step after this course?

You will be able to study a BSc in Food Science and Nutrition at university. Such a course will give you the opportunity to do salaried work within the industry for a year.

Ideas for jobs ...

You will be able to consider employment in a range of different industries including the food and drink sectors of hospitality, catering, food production and food retail.
