Grading

• This is a pass/fail (G/H) class.  To be sure that students are aware of where they stand on the assignments check skyward and google classroom regularly.  Assignments will either indicate if they have been completed or not completed.  To pass (G) students will need to earn a 65% or higher. To be sure that students are aware of where they stand on the assignments, check skyward regularly.  Students will regularly be assessed and know their progress of reading in Workbook Activities, HMH APP Program Activity Report, Interim Workshop Checkpoints, End of Workshop Checkpoints, and Growth Assessment. No late work will be accepted in the last week of the marking period. 

 Read 180 class, students will strengthen their literacy by developing:

■ skills needed to read fluently and understand what they have read;

■ knowledge needed to read and understand texts across a wide range of subjects, such as social studies, science, and math;

■ writing skills across a range of writing types;

■ a deep level of confidence in themselves and their literacy abilities.
