ImPACT Testing

Once per school year, students participating in a contact sport (soccer, field hockey, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, cheer, softball, baseball, lacrosse) will need to take the computerized test known as the ImPACT Test.

Attention Parents,

Hello, my name is Morgan Cozze, I am the athletic trainer at Timberlane Middle School. I am sending out an email to everyone in preparation for the upcoming spring sports season.  Once a year all student-athletes must take the concussion test, known as the ImPACT test. The following sports are required to take the ImPACT Test in order to participate this spring: Lacrosse, Baseball, and Softball. If your child has taken the ImPACT Test this fall or winter, they do not need to take the imPACT Test. Prior to taking the imPACT test, athletes will be watching a 4 minute educational video on concussions. There will be a maximum of 20 students testing each day.

A sign-up link will be available once testing dates are determined.

Testing Dates: March 4th, 5th, and 8th

Testing Time: Immediately after school until 4pm

Location: Meet in the Old Gym

Pick-up: Students will be sent to the main entrance bus loop for pick-up.

Materials needed: Chromebook (charged please)

Parents, please allow 45-60 minutes for completion of the video and imPACT test. If there is a scheduling conflict there will be an opportunity for your child to take the ImPACT Test at home with a personalized link. If you prefer this option, please contact me via email morgancozze@hvrsd.org.

All ImPACT Testing information will be posted here before each season.
