My name is Kathy Haskell, and I am new to CBMS. I will be a special educator for the 5th and 6th grade Teams, Phoenix, and Wizards. I have enjoyed years of teaching in both public and private education as a paraprofessional, long-term substitute, interventionist, online 4th-grade teacher, and middle school ELA teacher. Outside of school, I volunteer as the head of programming for the Mad River Riders, and in the winter, I coach for the Mad River Glen Ski Club. I live in Waitfield with my three children, husband, and our dog, Ozzy.

I've been at CBMS since 2020 and think it's a great place to work and learn. I love language (especially word origins and how language changes over time), reading, being in nature, cats, and anything chocolate!

My name is Kristine Caldwell; I am the special education teacher with the 7th/8th grade Prodigy team at CBMS. I support students in 7th and 8th grade in a variety of ways including facilitating team meetings for Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), collaborating with classroom teachers to provide specialized education for struggling students, and providing focused, educational intervention. I have a broad background in education including teaching math, science, serving as a school librarian (as well as a children’s librarian in a public library!) in addition to special education. I have most enjoyed working with middle school-aged students and am very excited about my work with the Prodigy team to focus on helping students overcome struggles with learning.
I am a special educator for all grades, 5-8. This is my second year back at CBMS. I came back after spending some time at Harwood and in Essex.
