Hello, I'm Courtney Fairchild
I am so excited to be a Hutto Hippo! This is my 25th year of teaching. I have also taught in Nixon, Taylor and Georgetown. My husband, Mitch, also teaches at GAMS so don't get us confused :) We have two adult daughters. I graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a history degree. I have taught multiple subjects along the way. I am excited this year to be teaching reading intervention using the Reading by Design program, building reading skills and fostering a love of reading in my students. I can't wait to meet you!

Tutorials
Tutorials
I offer tutorials on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings starting at 7:45 AM or any day before or after school by appointment. My school duty day is Friday so that day is a little more difficult, but please let me know if you need help, and we will work it out.

Reading everyday builds fluency, vocabulary that builds comprehension. Read 30 minutes daily to help build your reading fluency and comprehension. Open the Sora App and discover a new book. It is also important that you have access to your learning ally account so that you can access audio books. If you have forgotten your log in information, please see me.
