Term 6
Building Update
As we move into the last four weeks of the academic year, the building project really continues to make excellent progress and we are atill expecting a full handover with a fully complete building in the summer holidays!
As soon as we are able to invite parents and pupils for a tour of the extension in the new academic year, we will do, but until then please see the photographs of the update below.
Welcome to Miss Abrahamson
In preparation for our expansion to two-form entry in September 2023, Miss Abrahamson joined the academy at the start of module 6. Miss Abrahamson has mainly been based in Da Vinci class, but has also been introduced to all other classes across the academy too. I am sure that if you see her on the gate in Year R, you will join us in giving her a big Hundred of Hoo commuinity welcome!
Lockdown Practice
As you will know from the correspondence sent to all parents and carers earlier this term, we conducted our lockdown practice this week. This practice went incredibly well and all of the children were incredibly sensible!
Enjoying water safely
Water Safety week which is also known as Drowning Prevention Week, is a summer water safety campaign across the UK and Ireland that happens every year. The main goal is to teach people the necessary skills and knowledge that is needed to be safe and have fun in the water.
Please find shared with you water safety advice for parents and carers which suggests how you can help your child to stay safe around water this summer whether at home, the beach or on holiday. This has been produced by the Royal Life Saving Society for Water Safety Week. A child friendly animation has also been produced around this important topic. To watch the video with your child please click here.
Thank you
