As first graders your goal is to be able to read for 15 minutes without getting too tired or giving up. Each day this week you will track the amount of time that you read without being distracted. Remember readers with a good stamina do the following:
Read the whole time.
Stay in their comfy spot.
Enjoy their book.
Choose a book to read from home or visit Epic! and browse through their book collection. We recommend you read a book about friends or friendship.
Use this stamina chart to keep track of your reading stamina during your Independent Reading Time! You may also keep track on a blank sheet of paper.
