Hello, I am Assistant Professor of Political Science at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in Seoul, South Korea. I am also Co-Researcher at the Institute for Demographic Change and Sustainable Democracy at HUFS.

I was Postdoctoral Fellow of Korea Program & Stanford Next Asia Policy Lab (SNAPL) at Stanford University.

I study comparative and international politics with focus on nationalism. Specifically, I am interested in how nationalism shapes public opinion on foreign policy (e.g., support for war and anti-China sentiments), migration, and redistribution. My work is published or forthcoming in journals such as International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, and Journal of East Asian Studies, among others.
