This September, Olivia Rodrigo released her latest album “GUTS”, inspired by the success of her debut album “Sour”. This album reflects the process of Olivia’s maturity and all the challenges that growing up entails. It has songs that range from soft ballads to loud, energetic sounds. “GUTS” topped the album charts in 12 different countries including the U.S., where it debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. In the first week alone, it sold around 302,000 albums, about 7,000 more than “Sour”, making it her second album to top the charts.  

The song “Vampire” was an international hit, landing at the number one spot very rapidly following its release on June 30th, 2023. It got over 12.95 million official on demand U.S. streams, making it one of her most popular songs yet. “Bad Idea Right?” and “Get Him Back!” were also popular songs in the album, landing spots on the top 10 chart the week of its release. Currently, “GUTS” has outsold all of the other albums on the top 10 chart combined! This album earned over 60 million first day streams on the global Spotify chart, making Olivia Rodrigo’s album the tenth biggest female album debut of all-time.

Overall, “GUTS” is a major success and personally, I really liked it! The songs in the album contain lyrics that can be relatable, especially for people who are similar to her age which makes it very enjoyable. We can’t wait to see what Olivia’s next big release is going to be in the future.
