The Steinert Spartans “Spirit Week” was held 11-16 to 11-23. Spirit Week was an opportunity for Spartan students to express their personalities through several different themes of clothing. These themes were pajama day, class color day, Adam Sandler/Swap day, Sports day, almost anything but a backpack day, and School Spirit day. During Spirit Week there were two school events. Wacky Races and Steinert Pep Rally. Wacky Races is where Spartan students go against different graduation classes and participate in several activities to determine what grade is more wacky. The Pep Rally is where all students and facility come together in the gym where you see all different performances from Steinert Students
In terms of my experience as a freshman experiencing Spirit Week for the first time, I thought overall I had a positive experience. I thought most of the themes were creative and interesting, the only one I didn’t like was Adam Sandler or Swap Day. The events after school were fun. I didn’t attend Wacky Races, but I only heard positive experiences about it. I thought the Pep Rally was really cool because I was able to see the talents and capabilities of all Steinert students, and even some Faculty. Overall, I thought Spirit Week was a very fun and creative way to show off the great pride inside of Steinert High School.
