Let's make April
This month, we held our Mindfulness Rally on Monday, April 16th. While we were there, we celebrated all the April birthdays in the school. The students love standing up and having the entire school sing Happy Birthday just to them!
Mrs. Hughes, one of our speech pathologists in the building, introduced us to this month's Mindful Monday practice. She taught us new breathing techniques to use when we feel frustrated and explained what it means to listen with our whole bodies. Ask your children how we listen with not only our ears, but with our whole bodies! Mrs. Hughes also taught us about the Zones of Regulation and what it means to be in each zone. She gave us great tips to use when we are in each zone and we can't wait to use them at school and home.
Thank you Mrs. Hughes!
Mrs. Hughes explained what each zone means and how we might be feeling in each zone.
Mrs. Hughes taught us an awesome breathing technique to use when we feel out of control or upset. Try it at home!
This is another great breathing technique to try. The whole school practiced it together during the assembly. Great job, Triangle Tigers!!
