About Us
The High Tech High Graduate School of Education — the nation’s first graduate school rooted within K–12 schools — pushes the boundaries of what learning can look like by creating the context for transformative learning and action in schools and systems across the globe. As a hub for innovation, improvement, and justice, HTH GSE and HTH K12 are intentionally interconnected to elevate student brilliance, inspire work that matters, and measurably improve life outcomes for all learners.
Mission
HTH GSE activates a global network of change leaders to disrupt the status quo through transformative learning experiences.
Vision
To catalyze the world’s shift to more innovative, equitable, and extraordinary teaching and learning.
2022-27 Strategic Priority Areas
IMPACT: GSE will use a DEI stance to clearly define, measure, and improve each program/project’s impact on 1) K-12 learners, 2) adult learners, and 3) the broader field. GSE will share impact data annually with both internal and external audiences.
GSE & K12 SYNERGY: GSE will have 100% of GSE faculty directly engaged in a synergistic relationship with K12 staff through formal and informal collaboration by July 2027 to further promote the mission of both organizations.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION: GSE will continue to progress towards more equitable policies and practices in order to liberate self, others, and systems.
FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY: GSE increases earned revenue and endowment donations while decreasing reliance on project specific grant funding over the next five years to increase our long term sustainability while providing access to GSE programming to a diverse population.
