HSUHK Sinfonietta
HSUHK Sinfonietta was founded in 2012 by a group of students with a strong passion for music. Since its establishment, the orchestra has performed at University events, including but not limited to the Convocation for New Students, Graduation Ceremony, High Table Dinner and various naming ceremonies. The orchestra is now a performing team of the HSUHK Cultural Groups.
Our aim is to engage music talents in the University, encouraging students’ participation in music appreciation and sharing the joy of music with the community. In April 2017, the University appointed Ms Viola Yuen as the conductor of the orchestra. Ms Yuen is an active and renowned composer, arranger, conductor and A Cappella singer. Under her dynamic and professional training, we believe the orchestra will continue to reach new heights.
We look forward to performing on public stages and collaborating with artists, music groups and orchestras of other institutions.
