Join us at Johor Research Day 2026
Johor Research Day is a biennial event traditionally co-organized by the Johor State Health Department (Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Johor, JKNJ) and the Clinical Research Centre (CRC) network of Johor. The network comprises three CRCs based in Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Hospital Sultan Ismail, and Hospital Pakar Sultanah Fatimah, Muar. This year, we are pleased to expand our collaboration to include Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed), marking a strengthened partnership in advancing research excellence across the state.

This year’s theme, “Redefining Aging: Evidence, Innovation, and Care Across the Lifespan,” highlights our commitment to advancing research and improving health outcomes for aging populations. The event will feature keynote lectures, scientific presentations, and interactive discussions aimed at inspiring evidence-based practice and strengthening the research culture within our healthcare community.
The theme “Redefining Aging: Evidence, Innovation, and Care Across the Lifespan” reflects a shift from viewing aging solely as a period of decline to recognising it as a dynamic life stage shaped by prevention, resilience, and innovation. This theme emphasises the importance of robust scientific evidence to inform clinical practice, public health strategies, and policy decisions that support healthy aging from early life through older adulthood. It also highlights the role of innovation—through technology, new models of care, and interdisciplinary collaboration—in addressing the complex physical, psychological, and social needs of an aging population. Ultimately, the theme calls for a holistic, person-centred approach to care across the lifespan, ensuring that individuals can age with dignity, quality, and optimal health within supportive healthcare systems and communities.
