Elementary Counselors

Our role as school counselors is to help promote positive development in academic, career, and personal/social areas through both direct and indirect services, such as:

Individual Counseling
Small Group Counseling
Classroom Guidance
Attend and participate in intervention team meetings
Consult and collaborate with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community members
Provide information and resources to staff and parents on a various issues
Respond to school crises and emergency situations

Hello! This is my 24th year at Hillsboro Schools serving as the Elementary School Counselor. This year I will primarily be working with 3rd grade. I love working with the students, staff, and parents of our district. I have 2 of my own children who are graduates of Hillsboro district. My husband and and I are Hillsboro alumni as well. We are proud to be a Hawk family. In my spare time I enjoy reading, sewing, and spending time with my family. I can’t wait to meet all of you, and I am so excited for this new school year!

I am the 2nd grade counselor and this is my 3rd year at Hillsboro Elementary. My goal as a school counselor is to support our school community by building strong relationships between the students, teachers, staff, and parents. In my free time I like to watch Cardinals baseball, cook, play guitar, and yes go fishing! My wife and I have a dog named Lucy, and we both work in education.
