Chess Club

The Raider Chess Club will meet after school in the library from 3:35 - 4:05 pm on several Tuesdays throughout the year.  The purpose of the club is to provide Raider chess enthusiasts the opportunity to play on a regular basis and to get to know others who are interested in the game.  Some informal tournaments will take place throughout the year.  Also, members of the HPHS Chess Club will join us occasionally to provide tips and strategies. The first club meeting will be Tuesday, September 19.

Members of the Raider Chess Club are expected to:

• Arrive promptly for each meeting.

• Treat others respectfully.

• Exhibit appropriate, courteous behavior, a positive attitude, and good sportsmanship.

• Help put away chess supplies and collect trash before departing the club meeting.

Again this year, we will serve a light snack at each meeting.  Members are asked to contribute $10 (cash or check payable to "HPMS") to help cover the cost of these refreshments.
