Social Studies 8

Course Description- This course is a continuation for American History from 7th grade. We will begin with the period of Reconstruction (post Civil War) and focus much attention on the early 20th Century. Our studies will take us through present day.

Unit 1- Reconstruction Unit 5- US as a World Power & WW1

Unit 2-Civil Rights Unit 6- Roaring Twenties & The Great Depression

Unit 3- Big Business & Immigration Unit 7- World War II

Unit 4- Progressive Reform Unit 8- Cold War to present day
