In May, the high school and middle school librarians sent a "poetry callout" to all members of the Hyde Park Central School District community to contribute original poetry in response to the prompt, "This year, I learned ... " The librarians then used portions of the poems to create a crowdsourced poem for the community, to offer a moment of reflection at the close of this year. The project was inspired by poet Kwame Alexander's poetry callouts on NPR's Morning Edition.
