This unit has introduced you to the Surrealist art movement. Your task in this project is to apply the visual representation of a surrealist ideals in an artwork. It cannot just be a mish-mash of haphazard elements. You must show an understanding of surrealism elements: symbolism, the bizarre, juxtaposition, metaphor ... .
You will start your exquisite corpse landscape painting by developing a number of sketches and ideas combining NZ landscapes and your exquisite corpse drawing from earlier in the unit.
When creating your collage, refer to Taylors use of juxtaposition, repetition, size and contrast as well as her colour palette.

Create 2-3 designs [use apps like Goart to play with colours]
Complete a small [A5] value study drawing of your final design
Prepare your surface for painting [gesso, colour wash]
Transfer your design [photocopy up or down as needed]. Do not waste time doing detailed transfer, simple edge lines only are needed
