Transparent Objects – White Colored Pencil[8-10 hrs]
Objective:
Create and original realistic white colored pencil drawing of a collection of 3 different transparent objects – objects must be arranged and photographed by YOU. No Google images. Originality and creativity are the goal.
Directions:
Arrange transparent objects and take 3 close up shots from different angles. You will be graded on turning in all 3 photos. Use the following guidelines to get a good reference photo:
1. Overlap the objects
2. Make sure at least one of the photos has the objects turned at different angles to create foreshortening
3. Take the photo close enough to have open form on at least three sides [objects go out of the frame]
4. Make sure the photos are CLEAR and focused. [A bad photo = bad drawing]
5. Add your photos to Padlet. Print your selected one to draw.

•Correct Value Shapes in contour line drawing
•Correct Values assigned to the shapes
•Correct Edges assigned to the shapes
•Add Values slowly. You can always ADD value, it is difficult to remove value as it leaves a greasy slimy appearance – colored pencil is WAX so it is hard to erase cleanly
