Math Placement & Math Readiness Camp

If you received the email regarding your child’s Math Placement at Lanier Middle School, your child has successfully reached the score necessary to be placed into Algebra 1 for the next school year. We require that students who are within this range to attend our Algebra I Bridge Camp to ensure their success. The camp is to prepare students for jump to a higher grade level and adapt to the rigor of Algebra 1. The only way to proceed with your child’s math placement and place into Algebra 1 is if they attend this camp. Students who do not attend or do not pass will not be placed into the advanced course and relegated back to their grade level math class.

There are two options for the Bridge Camp, students only need to attend one session. This camp is in person at Lanier and the time is 8 am - 12 pm. The dates are as a follows:

• Camp A: June 9 - 13

• Camp B: July 7 - 11

A link to sign up for Algebra I Bridge Camp will be emailed to selected students and their parents in June 2025. Please be reminded that your child must attend this camp to place into Algebra 1 for the next school year.
