Week 10 Term 1
We had a great last week of term, lots of celebrating and sharing - here are some pics from our week.
On Tuesday and Wednesday we had our homework project sharing time. It was really cool sharing and hearing all about the family stories in our midst. We had connections to the Wahine, Mount Everest, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and some other amazing places, stories and families.
Sophie, Finn, and Lily created visual displays of their family trees.
On Friday, Monet, Hannah and Emily performed in the performance assembly.
The Muppet Movie on Wednesday got some laughs.
And to finish off the week on Friday after school our Flipperball team played off against Hataitai School in the final for the term. We came second but it was a tough game and we played really well. Thanks to Dave - Tommy's dad for coaching the team.
Monet and Lola both auditioned for the performance assembly - so brave!
On Thursday morning Stu - Isabel's dad came in to talk to us about the ethics and ideas around trapping pests.
Lockie's name traces back 300 years to Robert the Bruce - the orginal Lockheart who wanted his heart locked in a box. Lockie and his grandad created a pretty awesome - some might say gross presentation about his name.
