Message from the Headteacher
This week, some of our Year 6 pupils have been away on their residential journey, while those remaining in school have been enjoying a range of exciting activities. You can read more about these in the articles below. A huge thank you to the staff who have given up their own time to accompany the children on the residential. It is always a rewarding but tiring experience, and we are very grateful for their commitment.
We have also continued our programme of end-of-year assessments, with many of our Year 4 pupils completing the Multiplication Tables Check. Next week, our Year 1 children will begin their Phonics Screening Check, while reading and maths assessments continue across the school. To help children do their very best, please ensure they attend school every day, arrive on time and get plenty of rest.
Finally, we were delighted to host training for two groups of Early Career Teachers from across Ealing this week. During their visit, they toured the school and observed learning in action. Thank you to our staff and pupils for welcoming them so warmly and for being such fantastic ambassadors for Horsenden. The feedback we received about the quality of teaching, learning and behaviour across the school was overwhelmingly positive.

Year 6 Non-Residential Activities
Year 6 have had a fantastic three days this week packed full of fun and unforgettable memories!
We enjoyed a private screening of Super Mario at the cinema, complete with sweet treats and snacks, followed by a brilliant fun swim session.
We got creative by bejewelling, painting and glittering our Leavers’ T-shirts so we can remember our time here forever, and we even made (and ate!) our own delicious mini pizzas.
On top of that, we took part in team games, created memory books to look back on our Year 6 journey, and even had some well-earned free time on the Chromebooks.

Year 6 Residential Journey
Year 6 have had a fantastic time on residential and, thankfully, the weather has mostly held up for us! The children have enjoyed a range of exciting activities, including archery, climbing, abseiling, and building and sailing their own rafts. Throughout the week, they have demonstrated excellent teamwork, resilience and determination, often stepping outside their comfort zones to take on new challenges.
The children also enjoyed a cinema night, providing a chance to relax and spend time together after some busy and action-packed days. We are incredibly proud of the way they have represented Horsenden through their positive attitudes, enthusiasm and behaviour. The residential has been a wonderful opportunity for the children to build confidence, strengthen friendships and create memories that will last a lifetime.

If you registered online using the QR code on the leaflet your child took home on photograph day, you will have received an automatic email letting you know your image is ready.
If you haven’t registered yet, you can still view the photo by scanning the QR code on the leaflet and following the instructions.
Order Deadline for Free School Delivery:
All online orders must be placed by Tuesday, 16th June 2026 to receive free postage back to the school.

We still seem to have a very full Lost Property Trolley which is overflowing.
In the trolley are items such as:
Coats
Jackets
Jumpers
Accessories
In the office we also have a tray full of:
Children's glasses
Bracelets, a watch, toys and hair bands.
Please check with the office if your child has lost any of the above items.
If at the end of term they are not collected, we will dispose of or recycle them.
Please remember to NAME ALL ITEMS, and please do not bring jewellery or toys to school. Thank you for your co-oepration
