A multi-media exhibition of creatures created collaboratively by HM Lower, Middle, and Upper Division students. The displayed projects were inspired by the drawing game “Exquisite Corpse,” where a piece of paper is folded in three parts and three people successively draw a head, torso, and legs without seeing the complete image until it is finished. This exercise was popularized in the 1920s by artists of the Surrealist movement. The projects in Exquisite Creatures riffed off of this game and its spirit of artistic collaboration.
