Wildly Artistic  Open to Grades 2nd & 3rd

Take a walk on the wild side with Mr. Rice as you draw and paint your way through the jungle and explore the animals of the Safari region. Students will learn different patterns and techniques of sketching and transferring their artistic visions to canvas.  You might even discover how to integrate technology and robotics into art…

Building Bots Open to Grades 2nd & 3rd - Class is FULL, we are no longer accepting registration for this class.

Test your engineering skills in this STEM class to build a variety of robots. Students will be challenged to collaborate with others through the design process, solve problems, think critically and creatively, build, and operate different types of robots.  From simple machines to basic coding and programming, this class has it all!

The ART of Sculpting Open to Grades 4th & 5th

Art is more than drawing and painting.  Join Mrs. Hofmann to explore your creativity in sculpting.  Get ready to get messy with creating papier-mâché forms, sculpting clay pieces, fashioning mixed media masks and exploring other sculptural works.

Coding Cars of the Future Open to Grades 4th & 5th

Are you ready to take your coding skills to the next level?  Join us to design, code, and test drive the new RVR robots!  You will learn about the design process and coding used to program a self-driving car.  Students will be challenged to test designs, implement safety features, overcome obstacles, and program their RVR to navigate a course.

Printmaking Media Open to Grades 6-8

Join Kohl Arnett, BSMS Art Instructor, for an art lesson on the principles of design and printmaking. Students will learn to apply these principles while designing their own t-shirts. This course is designed to give students exposure to the exploration of printmaking.  Join him as he demonstrates how to combine technical and conceptual work to communicate your ideas.  Learn basic printmaking media through the creation of original artworks.

Robotics: Urban Search and Rescue Open to Grades 6-8

If you like building robots and solving problems, then this is the class for you!  Join Mr. Jamie Scott, HCCTC Engineering Instructor, in learning the basics of building and maneuvering a VEX IQ remote-controlled robot.  In addition, the sessions will include an obstacle course called "Urban Search and Rescue."  This is an event in the SkillsUSA Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO).
