I find my greatest purpose in being with others, allowing them to feel heard and work through challenges they are facing. There are so many things in life that cause us to feel helpless or put an immeasurable weight on our shoulders that says we are solely responsible for our own failures and successes. I want to support you in seeing where you do have support and community and be there while you find ways to build more into your life. I believe that there is a hidden strength in all of us, a fire that can be nurtured and burns brightly when given the opportunity. I use mindfulness in combination with a systemic lens to assist clients in coming back to the present moment by finding the approaches that feel the most effective and am open and flexible to trying on different techniques until we find the one that is most comfortable and/or effective. It is important that we work together to create an environment that feels both safe and welcoming, but can also be challenging. We will do this by learning about family history, which gives me context and a better understanding of your unique life experiences. I come from a systems approach, which means that I believe all the factors that influence and shape human behavior, personality traits, emotional states of being and psychological wellness are not independent of one another, but all interact and play a role in the things that make us well-adjusted, or create obstacles in finding happiness and a healthy sense of self.
