  4. Observant & good in identifying new guests.

  • Once or twice a month.

Service Usher

Description

  1. Create warm & welcoming atmosphere.

  2. Give clear directions to the members/guests.

  3. Assist members/ guests with special needs.

  4. Proactive acquaint new guests & help to connect them to Host.

  5. Crowd control.

  6. Prepare & serve Holy Communion elements during communion service.


Criteria

  1. Member or regular visiting Christian.

  2. Willing to interact with members / guests.

  3. Hospitable, friendly and warm.

  4. Enjoy warm talks & greets.


Commitment

  • Once every 2 weeks.

  • Serve at Hope Sanctuary.

Host

Description

  1. To get the names of the new guests from the Welcome Desk or Usher.

  2. To identify new guests at the Hope Sanctuary.

  3. To connect & build relationship with the new guests.

  4. Able to host the new guests & help connect them & bring them to the Lounge


Criteria

  1. Member of Hope Church Kuching

  2. Strong interpersonal skills.

  3. Hospitable, friendly & warm.

  4. Love to interact with guests

  5. Interview required.


Commitment

  • Once a month

  • Serve at Hope Sanctuary and The Lounge

The Lounge

Description

  1. Purchase/ order/ prepare food & beverage for The Lounge on Sunday.

  2. Plan attractive food display ideas during that session.

  3. Serve food & beverage.


Criteria

  1. Member or regular visiting Christian.

  2. Enjoy doing F&B.

  3. Willing to interact with guests.


Commitment

  • Once a month

Welcome Desk

Description

  1. Connect with people & help them to take their next steps in their connection with God & church e.g. volunteering. baptisms, life groups.

  2. Information counter. Anticipate general enquiries & requests.

  3. To distribute welcome packs to first time guests.

  4. To ensure sufficient stock of welcome packs.

  5. Lost & Found.

  6. Create a “Welcome Home” experience for every person.


Criteria

  1. Member.

  2. Administrative skills.

  3. Excellent oral & written communication skills.

  4. Maintain confidentiality.

  5. Friendly, hospitable & warm.
