Sessions

We organise our sessions so that the children can choose from, and work at, a range of activities; building up their ability to select and work through a task to its completion. The children are also helped and encouraged to take part in adult-led small and large group activities, which introduce them to new experiences and help them to gain new skills, as well as helping them to learn to work with others. Outdoor activities contribute to children's health, their physical development and their knowledge of the world around them. Children can take part in outdoor child-chosen and adult-led activities, alongside those provided indoors.

We run two types of session.

1. Mixed age session for any pre-school child aged 2 to 5 years

2. Senior Group session – Commencing the September before your child starts school i.e. Your child would be eligible for Senior Group sessions from September 2018 if they were due to start school September 2019.

As part of our Senior Group sessions the children take part in Activity Afternoons which include Forest School, Swimming and Transition visits to St. Peter’s Primary School.

Additionally, we run a lunch club from 12noon till 1pm - Monday through to Thursday.

Our weekly sessions are organised as follows:

Children usually start pre-school with 2 or 3 sessions a week, building up to 5 sessions before they start school.

We are not able to take children all day i.e. a child cannot attend a morning and an afternoon session on the same day except for Friday. This is our extended session when the same children stay from 10am till 4pm.
