Description: Rugby includes female athletes grades 9-12. It takes place in the spring and fall. Members play full-contact rugby union in both 7’s and 15’s format in an organized league through Illinois Rugby, with competitive matches against Chicago and Rockford clubs in the spring. The fall season is focused on skill building and tournament play. 

Eligibility requirements: Academic Eligibility: Passing 5 classes 

Expected time requirements per week: 5 hours

Tuesday/Friday/Sunday practice 3:40-5:00 PM, Wednesday workouts 3:30-4:15 PM. 

Meeting Space: Rugby field, upper gym, or fitness center 

Special Events:
Festivals (rugby tournaments) are scheduled for Sundays in the month of October.
