Through outdoor experiences and unique opportunities, Scouts BSA invites EVERY youth ages between 11-17 to a safe, fun place to learn, explore, and grow. We prepare young people for lives of impact and purpose.
Scouts BSA Hong Kong Troop 1, a membership division of the Scouting America, has been available in Hong Kong since 1967. Our chartered organization is Hong Kong International School (HKIS) in Tai Tam, Hong Kong.
Our scouting program is for all BOYS & GIRLS from ANY SCHOOL. Youth can join Scouts BSA if they are 11 to 17 years old, or 10 years old if they are in the fifth grade (registering on or after March 1st) or have earned the Arrow of Light award. Scouts typically age out of the program when they turn 18. Candidates are not required to have any scouting experience in order to join our program.
Our program achieves the Scout BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness through outdoor activities and camping experiences. Service, community engagement and leadership development are increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.

Troop-wide meetings are held monthly on a Wednesday evening in HKIS Tai Tam, for upcoming meetings or events, please check our troop's calendar.

Troop 1's program needs your support, contributing to the Far East Council, BSA will continue to create opportunities for youth to gain memorable experiences and become instilled with values, principles, and skills that will help them develop into the future leaders. Far East Council, BSA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Your donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
