Our Classroom Overview
This portion of the website will change monthly in order to let you know what we are focusing on in class for the month. Please keep in mind somethings will repeat since 1st grade is a continuous learning cycle in order to build knowledge and understanding of a skill. Here you will also see feature pictures of students work.
Also thanks to Donorschoose.com and the donations for the beautiful stone rug. Please visit donorschoose to help a classroom in need or to help OUR CLASSROOM. I put projects on there through the year for the classroom and also for virtual learning.

Well, Hello There!
My name is Mrs. Ashley Watashe.
I am your child’s first grade teacher. I have been an educator for 13 years and have taught in many areas. I graduated from Northeastern State University in 2007 and married my wonderful husband that same year. We have two amazing children and love spending time on the lake or in the woods. I am excited and blessed to be here at Hominy. Though I love having children in my classroom, and since our world looks a little different, I hope you know I will do everything in my ability to keep a safe environment and be available for virtual learning. Let’s have an amazing year either in person or virtually!
Thank you for your commitment to helping your child thru the 1st grade.
