At Homer High School, the Boys Soccer team has reached the halfway point in their season. What are their views and expectations for the remainder of the fall?
The Trojans had a great start to their season kicking off with two easy wins against Jordan-Elbridge and Groton. Now that they are halfway through the season, how do the captains think they will size up against the rest of their competition?
“I think we’re a young team with little varsity experience, but solid footwork,” says captain Tyler Van Etten.
Homer's team consists of only five seniors, one of them being brand new to the sport.
“I think we have a lot of work to do considering previous games. The results have been disappointing but I think things can be turned around” said captain Kyler Crump.
Homer Soccer is into their second half of the season with high hopes and dedication to start up a win streak. Only time will tell what is in store.
