Challenger Field Trip

On Monday, March 12 the eighth grade students traveled to Wheeling, West Virginia to the Challenger Center for Space Education. There they performed tests on making a parachute to safely land a Mars Rover, and performed in a mars trip simulation. They saw a model of the challenger rocket, and got to visit Christa McAuliffe's classroom. In the classroom they learned about the Challenger's failed mission with the teacher, Christa McAuliffe, on board. Students had to use problem solving skills and creativity on their mission, to get the tasks done to make their mission a success.
