Hello Students,

This week you will be reading a poem. Take your time to read it carefully and enjoy the words! After you finish reading, I have a few simple questions for you to answer. These will help you understand the poem better.

Assignment:

1. What is the poem about?
   Write one or two sentences about what the poem is telling us.
   
   

2. How does the poem make you feel?
   Did the poem make you happy, sad, excited, or something else? Write a sentence or two about how it made you feel.
   
   

3. Find a special word:
   Pick your favorite word from the poem and explain why you like it. What does it mean to you?
   
   

4. Look at the punctuation marks:
   Look at the punctuation marks in the poem. Can you make your own sentences using some of these punctuation marks? For example, how would you use an exclamation mark or a question mark in your own writing?
   
   

5. Rhyming words:
   Look for rhyming words in the poem and write them down. Can you think of other words that rhyme with them?
   
   

6. Draw a picture:
   Draw a picture of something from the poem that you liked or found interesting.
