Students will be able to understand the concept of Mahitahitanga and apply it to themselves inside and outside the classroom, demonstrating awareness of purpose and audience through their persuasive writing.
Learning Intention: Weeks 1-2
-Write the title and introduction to a persuasive topic
-Write the first argument (paragraph) using persuasive language
Descriptive Language: Teach students how to use descriptive language to vividly portray their role as Kaitiaki in the school environment. Encourage them to incorporate sensory details to bring their writing to life.
