Hello second grade musicians!
This week I am sharing with you some of the activities we have already done together in music class. We are reviewing solfege pitches (do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, ti do) and I have one new activity for you to try on your own.
First, I would like for you to watch the video I posted of our lesson. Sorry for the poor audio quality... I'll be working on improving that for next weeks lesson!
Here is your music lesson:
Look at the "Solfege & Hand Signs" page below which has the hand signs and your activity for this week. Click on the "Pop-out" icon in the upper right hand corner of the document to open the file in a new tab. This was emailed to you also. It might be helpful to print out both of these pages if you can.
Use the Solfege handout and sing the song "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." Can you perform it using the hand signs at the same time? If you are able, have your parents film you and send me a short video of you performing the song using the hand signs. I miss your beautiful voices and would love to hear you sing!
Good luck, marvelous musicians!
Blessings,
Ms Campbell
