Skills Developed:

I developed my critical thinking and research skills during my time at AdvanceCT. I developed my critical thinking skills by listening in on pipeline meetings. It was very helpful to learn the process of the business development team and how they make decisions. In addition, I strengthened my research skills through my work on company research and research for the Clean Tech deck.

Connection to Future Career Goals:

My experience at AdvanceCT gave me insight on the type of career I would like to pursue in the future. I enjoyed the flexibility and diversity of the day-to-day of a nonprofit organization.

Advice to HC Students:

I would tell students that an education at a liberal arts college is extremely applicable in the nonprofit field. My background prepared me well for my position this summer. I look forward to pursuing a career where I can apply the knowledge I’ve gained at Holy Cross.
