What are some skills/competencies (NACE) that you developed during your internship?

My writing skills have improved immensely over the course of this summer. Writing and

editing patient histories required me to be succinct and include only relevant information.

How does this experience connect to your future career goals?

This experience offered me insight into the field of clinical psychology, which I knew very

little about. I am still most interested in counseling and therapy, though I learned that there

is the option to do work in both. In fact, understanding the clinical process is vital in the

effectiveness of therapy.

What advice would you give to other Holy Cross students?

I would advise future Holy Cross students to remain curious throughout their internship

experience. Asking questions is a great way to engage with the work you’re doing and will

make the experience incredibly fulfilling. My mentors were always more than willing to

send me different resources and articles based on my interests!
