What are some skills/competencies (NACE) that you developed during your internship?

Some skills and competencies that I developed during my internship experience consisted of the sharpening of my communications skills, organizational skills, and especially interpersonal and co-working skills. All of these competencies will help me more further in my professional life and I believe that my internship experience aided greatly in these developments.

How does this experience connect to your future career goals?

This experience connects greatly to my future career goals as I intend on working in human services, social action, and healthcare services. I anticipate interacting with many different professionals in my career and this internship has prepared me to do so.

What advice would you give to other Holy Cross students?

My advice would be to step out of your comfort zone and explore internship opportunities that may not involve something that you would usually be interested in. I was unsure that I was capable of working in climate change and social action because I was not very well versed in this topic. However, when working with Mothers Out Front, I really found a liking for these issues, especially considering the involvement in the Worcester community.
