What are some skills/competencies that you developed during your internship?

Through this internship I was able to enhance my communication abilities. Working

remote (and in a different time zone) posed many challenges, and to overcome

them I had to perfect my communication abilities, especially written communication.

This also improved my ability to work effectively on a team. By communicating

effectively and being proactive about collaborative efforts, I was able to ensure that

our team was successful in each of our endeavors.

How does this experience connect to your future career goals?

Working at Courial gave me the opportunity to learn about financial modeling, M&A

transactions, and how different deal structures work. These aspects of the job stood

out the most to me and prompted vast personal research. Because of this

experience, I now know that I want to work closer to the capital markets and pursue

a career in finance.

What advice would you give to other Holy Cross students?

As an intern, you will only have a few weeks to make a lasting impression. It can be

easy to fall through the cracks – so be proactive. Speak with your boss and ask

them to set up regular meetings for you to get feedback and remind your

supervisors of the work you have done.
