What are some skills/competencies (NACE) that you developed during your internship?

At the start of my internship, I set goals to develop not only as an intern but an individual. This summer I was able to further develop my critical thinking skills and teamwork and collaboration skills. I was pushed to problem solve and think critically about various training guides for new staff and coaches. All ways to make training and lesson guides more efficient and effective. Winter4Kids has also given me the opportunity to work with other staff members of the program support team and develop the skills to work with others to help the youth.

How does this experience connect to your future career goals?

My internship experience has opened my eyes to more opportunities after I graduate. The National Winter Activity Center has shown me that in my future career whether non-profit or not I want to pay forward to future generations.

What advice would you give to other Holy Cross students?

For future Holy Cross students I would say be open to new opportunities as it can help you find out more about who you are becoming and who you want to be for others!
