1) What are some skills/competencies (NACE) that you developed during your internship?
During my internship, I have improved upon my skills in oral and written communications through weekly meetings with my team, MIT faculty, and other organizations, and the development of various publications in the form of op-eds, white papers, and more. I have also developed leadership skills as I had the opportunity to work as a team lead for multiple projects.
2) How does this experience connect to your future career goals?
In the future, I would like to pursue a masters degree in environmental engineering. This experience allowed me to connect with many professionals in various fields related to environmental studies, and opened my eyes to all the different ways I can engage on the topics I am passionate about, like renewable energy and wildlife conservation.
3) What advice would you give to other Holy Cross students?
Don't be shy - you were selected for your internship because you deserve it. To make the most of your experience, it is important to engage enthusiastically and as much as possible.
