1) What are some skills/competencies (NACE) that you developed during your internship?

-I gained necessary people skills with how to interact with various types of voters.

-I have a better understanding of the role polls play in a campaign with fundraising and advertising.

-I witnessed how each level of management plays a unique role in a campaign and therefore every person has a valuable position.

2) How does this experience connect to your future career goals?

-This experience has reinforced my desire to be a political pollster.

-I understand the relationship between polling and campaigning and therefore have sharpened my skills in both aspects of my future career.

-I have expanded my network with professionals in the political field.

3) What advice would you give to other Holy Cross students?

-Use your resources. To find an opportunity, don’t be afraid to speak to people you know; you never know who may be able to help.

-Ask a lot of questions. People enjoy helping you in any way they can, talking about their own experiences, and giving you information on the moving parts of the organization.
