1) What are some skills/competencies (NACE) that you developed during your internship?

I gained valuable experience in using various real estate record websites and learned how to evaluate zoning maps to search for investment opportunities and assist in maximizing potential property profit. An important skill I developed was creating an loan amortization schedule and an interest-only loan calculator from scratch in excel.

2) How does this experience connect to your future career goals?

This experience gave me real world experience in real estate and property investments. I was able to assess real world numbers to gain a better understanding of this industry and if I wanted to pursue this kind of career in the financial sector in the future.

3) What advice would you give to other Holy Cross students?

I would urge Holy Cross students to take advantage of any professional opportunities they come across. All experience is good experience and shows future employers that you are committed to professional development. Using an experience to help determine what does not interest you is just as important as finding a career path that does.
