1) What are some skills/competencies (NACE) that you developed during your internship?

During this internship I had the opportunity to progress helpful skills like developing my writing and editorial tactics. I wrote, edited, designed graphics on Canva, and published articles through WordPress for LadyBossBlogger. I also had the opportunity to practice my leadership skills as well as team building skills while working with other writing interns.

2) How does this experience connect to your future career goals?

I want to go into journalism so working in a writing and editorial environment was very helpful to me. One of LadyBossBlogger’s goals is to empower women in business which I think really helped me feel confident and secure in the work that I was doing for the company. LadyBossBlogger is a smaller business which fostered a stronger understanding of how businesses function on a comprehensible scale.

3) What advice would you give to other Holy Cross students?

ASK QUESTIONS! I think the reason why I got so much out of my internship this summer was because I wasn’t afraid to ask questions. At first I was definitely apprehensive but once I realized that asking question is how to deepen understanding and get more involved in my work I asked away!
