Gravitational lensing occurs when a source of matter bends lights that is traveling from a distant light source to an observer which is predicted by Einstein’s theory of General Relativity. This method is used to discover exoplanets, meaning planets outside our solar system. We can study how light bends in the presence of other solar systems. Our task is mainly to construct models of circumbinary systems, systems with two stars and a planet, using Mathematica. These models will help us improve our understanding of observational signatures of exoplanets.
